Supporting his 2023 release I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget, the Snowman brought his Playlist Concert Series to a sold-out Pageant on July 10th, 2024, leaving the Gateway City with another memorable evening with one of modern hip hop’s most engaging performers.
Locals DJ Marley and DJ Bounce hyped up the crowd at the start of the evening. Some may recognize DJ Bounce from when he held it down during the sold-out Sexyy Red show at The Chaifetz last October. Trust and believe that some Big Sexyy was played, as well as Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” both of which (obviously) got substantial pops from the crowd.

Jeezy himself effortlessly locked in once he hit the stage at The Pageant. With his cohort DJ Ace, he cut through the thick blunt smoke like a pro. Rolling out classics like “RIP” and “White Girl,” as well as bangers off his new record, Jeezy kept all eyes on him during his set. With an unmistakable voice and swagger, there is really nothing quite like a Jeezy show, and St. Louis showed the Snowman no shortage of love. In fact, it was one of the most hyped-up crowds I’ve experienced in a minute. People were dancing and vibing the fuck out, often showing they knew just about every song performed by heart.
While some have started to doubt Jeezy’s relevance in the modern day, what we got at The Pageant that Wednesday evening proved that he is still one of the most interesting and powerful voices in modern hip hop. | Bryan J. Sutter
