If there’s one thing MISSIO knows how to do, it’s turn a small venue into an electrifying experience. Playing to a sold-out crowd at The Duck Room in St. Louis, this four-piece brought some really energetic, electronic, and bombastic noise that made the show feel like a personal performance for all of us in the room. An 18-song setlist kept the crowd singing along the entire night with faves like the opener “Wolves” and “Twisted” and “Rad Drugs” kinda stole the show! They’re heavy, but techno, so that brought a bit of bouncing, a bit a dancing and at times, headbanging. No joke! I love it when St. Louis shows up on school night!

The highlight of the evening came with their encore of “Middle Fingers,” a rebellious anthem that had the entire room chanting in unison with their middle fingers proudly waving in the air. It was the perfect way to close out the night—loud, unapologetic, and full of rebellion.

Despite the cozier confines of The Duck Room, MISSIO proved that big performances aren’t just about space—they’re about presence, connection, and delivering rock n’ roll that doesn’t suck, has loud guitars and drums, and really sticks with you long after the last note fades. This show was a testament to their ability to turn any venue into their own personal arena. If you ever get the chance to see MISSIO live, take it. And if you missed this one, yeah, it sucks, ‘cause you missed a really good one! | Laura Jerele
