About this week’s artist:

Jeffy & The Sunken Heads formed in 2022 shortly after frontman Jeff Hess recorded songs on 4-track cassette, playing all instruments. The songs were released to the public in digital form. People loved them, which encouraged Jeffy to form a live band with Bob (McBob) McMahon on bass, Steve (Rex Tempo) Dachroeden on drums, plus the addition of Gerry Lundquist on trombone. Original 4-track recordings sans trombone can be heard here.

What is the song about?

It’s about grooving, tripping balls, and committing crimes while riding a Satellite.

What inspired it?

Real life events.

What led you to creating music in the first place?

Gosh.

Are you in a band? What makes it unique?

I want to bring out a side of punk you don’t see much around here anymore.

What’s next for you?

Releases, merch, more songs, and more songs. Good times.

Who else in STL is inspiring you right now?

So many artists and bands, too many to count. I love being back in front of a band with all the vibes and kicks that come with it.
