St. Louis filmmaker Brian McClelland’s Blip Blap Video is celebrating the kickoff of the second season of their weekly performance arts showcase series, Live from the Boom Room. The entire 25 episodes of Season One (including a sneak preview of several Season Two episodes that haven’t yet been released) will be showcased on The Royale’s backyard patio big screen for a gathering of Boom Room artists, friends, and supporters.

Season Two will debut with an episode featuring The Urge’s Steve Ewing the following Monday, May 9th, and continue airing its 25 new weekly episodes on the Blip Blap YouTube channel. Season Two artists will include Jimmy Griffin, Steve Ewing, The Burney Sisters, Janet Evra, Illphonics, Brothers Lazaroff, Emily Wallace, Tef Poe, Paige Alyssa, Opera Bell Band, Tommy Halloran, The Gaslight Squares, and many more.

Season One’s first 25 episodes included performances from artists including Clownvis, Beth Bombara, Bruiser Queen, and the So Grand Polka Band. Chan Maurice Evans’ heartfelt episode has garnered over 106,000 views so far.

Live from the Boom Room started in October 2021 after McClelland was inspired to create a small-scale video performance platform, free of charge to artists, providing a diverse and genre-busting showcase of musical performing artists in the St. Louis region. The show is a one-man production, entirely produced in McClelland’s South City basement rehearsal/karaoke “Boom Room.” Entirely self-funded and produced by McClelland thus far, Blip Blap is currently seeking sponsorship, with an eye on getting funds to keep the series going into a third season later this year.
