About this week’s artist:

AMERICA MEETS BULGARIA! TWO CITIES ONE WORLD

Powerful musical and romantic chemistry drive the passion and authenticity of Two Cities One World—a multicultural duo who “Let the Whole World Disappear” in a fusion of jazz, funk, soul, pop, world vibes.

Two Cities One World is more than just a clever moniker referring to St. Louis and Sofia—their cities of origin. It’s been their defining mission since joining forces to spread a positive message with their beautiful, rhythmically eclectic music for the world.

Drawing from a multitude of influences from Snarky Puppy, Stevie Wonder, Victor Wooten, Michael Jackson, Jacob Collier, Corinne Bailey Rae, Hiatus Kaiyote, and music from Bulgaria and other countries.

In 2014, Two Cities One World releases their first EP Together, which has influences from funk, jazz, pop, soul and a hint of reggae.

In the summer of 2016, the band toured Bulgaria, playing 26 concerts in less than three months. During the tour, they won seven awards at the music competition Pop Rock Fest Nessebar, held their CD release party for Let the Whole World Disappear, and shot a music video for the jazzy, old school funk single “Suga Daddy.”

In the summer of 2017, Two Cities One World performed at some of the biggest Bulgarian festivals such as Bansko Jazz Fest, Perelik Jazz Fest, Sofia Breathes, WakeUp, Soul Music by the River and more. The band released their first live album in 2017—Live Sessions Vol. 1—which was recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio 1 of Bulgaria’s National Radio (BNR). In 2018, the band recorded and produced the new album The Things We Love. This album is their most defining and authentic so far. Mixing much more world sounds, powerful messages, odd meters, mixed meters, neo soul and hip hop and smooth complex compositions. Also in 2018, they had the honor of having Regi Wooten and Roy “Futureman” Wooten perform in the band. They also opened for Shaun Martin of Snarky Puppy in St. Louis and Corey Henry at A to Jazz festival in Bulgaria. The Things We Love album was released on June 15th, 2019. The release party was at historic Blueberry Hill in St. Louis. After more touring in Bulgaria and performing in Missouri, Jared and Anna made their greatest piece of art. Their son Bogdan Jade Cattoor was born on 09/19/2019.

Now in 2022 Two Cities One World is working to release a new album!

“We’re committed to a lifelong dedication to supporting people positively in the world through our music. We use music as our creative outlet as artists and performers to command truth, spread love and inspire people to do great things.”
