Bringing their Misadventures of Doomscroller tour to The Pageant Wednesday night, Dawes delivered a powerful and soulful performance. The band’s tight musicianship and heartfelt lyrics were on full display, captivating the nearly sold-out crowd from start to finish. The band’s chemistry was palpable, and the collective energy created a dynamic and engaging performance complete with incredible volume. Highlights included their anthemic (and most certainly a crowd favorite) “When My Time Comes,” which ended their first set on an incredibly high note. After a short intermission, Dawes returned to the stage to complete the night with another ten-song set, ending the night with “All Your Favorite Bands.”
Overall, Dawes proved why they are still one of the most enduring and favorite bands in the indie rock scene today. | Laura Jerele
