The Dropkick Murphys brought their special mix of Celtic punk and proletariat rock to The Factory for a packed show to support their new album This Machine Still Kills Fascists, released in September by Dummy Luck Music. A love letter to the lyrics of Woody Guthrie, they rocked the house with old rants and new interpretations of classic Guthrie, some even based on rare, unpublished work. Their rebellious stance against authoritarian politics and message of pro-union, liberal ideals were weaved in between performances of protest songs and empowerment of the lower classes. | Joseph C Roussin
