Ska-punk standard bearers Goldfinger fired up the crowd at Wayback Pointfest’s Dakota Grizzly side stage. Though best known for ’90s classics like “Here in Your Bedroom,” “Mable” (both from the band’s self-titled 1996 debut), and “Counting the Days” (from 2000’s Stomping Ground), the band has continued to both tour and record in the intervening years. That includes the group’s latest, 2017’s The Knife, which saw founder/frontman John Feldmann welcome a revamped lineup including bassist Mike Herrera (MxPx), drummer Travis Barker (Blink-182, who was not present for the St. Louis show), and St. Louis’ own Philip Sneed (Story of the Year, Greek Fire) on lead guitar.
