Rock Out and Clean Up at the Erase the Trace Trash Bash

Litter is a constant scourge in our fair city, and while the Adopt-A-Highway program and the benevolent businesses that support it are a huge help, they can’t solve the problem alone.

Enter Erase the Trace, a St. Louis-based organization “driven to enhance and beautify our surroundings while spreading the awareness, education and prevention of the growing environmental issues our world faces.” To help spread the word, the group is holding their first ever “Trash Bash” on Sunday, August 27th. The fundraiser kicks off at 11:00 AM with a cleanup of the neighborhoods surrounding the Old Rock House (1200 S. 7th St.) followed by an all-ages concert inside said venue, which kicks off at 4:00 PM and features Big Mike Aguirre and the Blu City All Stars, Silence the Duck, the Scandaleros, Stone Sugar Shakedown, and Mom’s Kitchen. The concert is free if you help with the cleanup or $10 if you don’t, and bags, gloves, and even lunch are provided. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/EraseTheTrace. | Jason Green
