The Ain’t Enough Road Tour didn’t disappoint. From the first twang of Megan Patrick’s opening set to the final glowing chorus led by Jordan Davis, the Chaifetz arena hosted a truly memorable night. There are some shows that entertain, and shows that make you feel like you belong. Saturday night was the latter.

Meghan Patrick opened with a pure-country sound that landed extremely well with the crowd. She used the runway to shorten the distance between the stage and the audience, leaning down and singing directly to fans. A highlight of her set was her final track, when she brought out a small horn and held it up to the microphone, adding a warm and authentic feel to her performance.

Mitchell Tenpenny’s set was full of gratitude and high energy. Mid-song, Tenpenny took and signed a shirt from a fan in a way that felt sincere. When he played “Truth About You,” the stadium became his chorus—people genuinely knew every line and they sang it with him. The energy was infectious, one of the loudest crowds I’ve seen all summer. A highlight was when Tenpenny sang a cover of Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me,” changing up the vibe, but the crowd loved it and it turned into an extremely memorable part of the show. He closed with the Goo Goo Dolls’ track “Iris,” where phone lights bobbed, turning the arena into a luminous sea.

Jordan Davis opened with “Ain’t Enough Road” and immediately pulled everyone in. A defining tone in pop-country, Davis brought both outstanding vocal ability and theatrical flair, almost acting out the lyrics as he sang. “Turn This Truck Around” followed from his newest album, Learn The Hard Way. Mid-set, Davis invited Megan Patrick back onstage for a duet of “Mess With Missing You,” filling in for Carly Pearce’s performance on the album version. The energy softened. Davis’s voice was excellent throughout, and his emotive delivery gave each song a cinematic quality.

The Ain’t Enough Road Tour was a wonderful display of pop-country music on a big stage with a canopy of lights. One of the things I love most about country shows is the atmosphere—fans are respectful and kind. Jordan Davis’s crowd was no exception. Together, all three artists gave a reminder of how live music can transform a packed arena into a space that still feels personal, connected, and authentic. | Michael O’Connor
