Concert review: KC and the Sunshine Band | 11.13.25, The Factory (with photo gallery)

KC and the Sunshine Band performed live in St. Louis, MO at The Factory on November 13, 2025. Even though I know several of their songs, this was my first time seeing them in concert. I really didn’t know what to expect since this band made their debut in 1973, five years before I was born. I never thought I would see KC and the Sunshine Band live in concert.  And I certainly didn’t think it would be as fun as it was.

KC’s voice is still great. He made sure to let the audience know that he was 74 multiple times. LOL! He was very self-deprecating and told the younger women in the audience that he was their Justin Bieber.     You could tell by the way he interacted with the crowd that he was grateful to be there.

There was so much energy in the show with no less than eight or more people on stage at any one time. There was lots of color and tie dye and dancers with feather boas who kept the crowd dancing. The audience, whose average age was 60-plus, were dressed up as well in Gogo dresses, chunky heels, afros, and big sunglasses.

Overall, it was an awesome, entertaining show. It was nice to see an older crowd enjoying themselves and reliving their younger years. There’s this whole idea that only younger crowds go to concerts and dance like this, but that certainly was not the case at this show.
