In this episode:
We call ourselves “the podcast that reviews new restaurants in and around St. Louis” but this is, perhaps shamefully, the first time we’ve gone into Illinois for an episode. Only 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, 222 Artisan Bakery and Cafe is located in Edwardsville. They recently moved from their original location at 222 Main St. to a new spot, 2 blocks away, on 222 St Louis St.!
If you haven’t been to Edwardsville lately, you might have still seen them at the Tower Grove Farmers Market or had their Plaid brand coffee. But the cafe is a lovely place to go for a weekend breakfast or lunch, where you can pick up a loaf of fresh bread and a couple homemade dog treats.
Take a listen to the latest episode to find out what we liked, what makes a good cheese sandwich, and how committed they are to the number “222.”
