The St. Louis emo/indie-rock quartet Foxing have announced they are going on indefinite hiatus. The news was first posted on the band’s Patreon, where it was shared by Stereogum, but the announcement is now live on the band’s Instagram account as well. “After 14 years as a band and 12 years of consistent touring, we’ve decided to take a hiatus from playing shows, writing or doing anything as Foxing,” the statement reads.
As the statement alludes to, Foxing has announced two more shows before the hiatus kicks in: December 4 at Thalia Hall in Chicago and a sure-to-be-packed finale on December 6 in front of the hometown crowd at Delmar Hall (6133 Delmar Blvd.). The all ages Delmar Hall show is at 8:00pm, and tickets are $23 in advance, $25 day of show. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 26 at 10:00am.
