What brought you to this point in your life as a working St. Louis artist?

Hard work, destiny and generosity of people who has promoted my art work and gave me opportunities manifest in Europe, USA, and Central America throughout my 30 years of career.

What inspires your music? What is this song called? What does this song in particular mean to you?

My inspirations are mostly from Jazz Ethnic music including Persian Indian and Spanish traditional music. The meaning of this song, “Nightmare in Heaven,” is to appreciate life as we can live in heaven but at the same time we create all these negativity in our mind that can be a nightmare for some.

Who in St. Louis are you inspired by right now?

Many amazing St Louis musicians that I work with or not. Great Jazz cats.

What bands are you performing with lately?

Mostly my own projects, but also Acoustik Element, Aaron Burlbaw, Emerson Magaña, Kendrick Smith World Jazz project.

Where do you hope to be in 5 years?

I hope there will be more people interested in arts than sending bombs on innocent people around the world.
