About this week’s artist:

Kip Loui has been making music for a bit, mostly in his hometown of St Louis, Missouri. He is a musician by vocation and a Special Education teacher. Kip is a co-founder of the annual Twangfest music festival in St Louis, a former morning DJ on St. Louis radio station KDHX 88.1 FM, and a founding member of Diesel Island, a classic country band fronted by Brian Henneman of the Bottle Rockets. He performs frequently around the STL region with both Diesel Island and his wife, JJ Loui. He has recorded six or seven albums across three or four genres with four or five bands, plus solo work. His new solo album Cold Out There will be out in spring of 2023.

JJ is a singer-songwriter originally from the Quad Cities area of Iowa. When she’s not teaching yoga or creating jewelry, guitar straps, and artisan craft items for her business LIT Studios, she plays guitar and writes songs in her spare time, often with Kip accompanying her.
