Erykah Badu is gracing St. Louis with her presence for the third year in a row. Her last solo show in town, a 2021 stop at the Fabulous Fox for the “Live from Badubotron” tour, featured old and new songs, trap, rap, hip hop, and soul, and worked to cement her reputation as the Queen of Neo Soul. (You can read my review of the full show here.) 2022 saw Badu headline the first night of the Music at the Intersection festival in Grand Center. This year, she’s bringing her “Unfollow Me” tour to the Enterprise Center on June 28th, and with the larger venue, she promises “an out-of-this-world, surrealist atmosphere.” Joining Badu on this go round is famed rapper, Black Star founder, actor, and visual artist yasiin bey.
