Concerts at The Big Top (3401 Washington Ave.) are building with fabulous momentum, and this Saturday night Houndmouth added to that energy with a stellar performance under the tent. They graced the large crowd with a rather long set of their indie-meets-blues-meets-alt country grooves. With four albums under their belt, they’ve got a fair amount of songs to choose from when pulling together a set list which included “Palmyra” and fan fave “Darlin’.” But nothing could serve this Saturday night better than an energetic crowd singing punchy lyrics at the top of their lungs “a Saturday night kinda pink” when “Sedona” fittingly closed the show. Of their many trips here to St. Louis, this was definitely one of their more memorable performances.

Local act Little Cowboy opened the show with their very fun blend of twangy, poppy, indie rock complete with a fabulous cover of Radiohead thrown into the mix. | Laura Jerele
