Michigander was able to take a night off from their opening slot on the Andrew McMahon tour and come to Saint Louis to headline Delmar Hall Thursday night. Their last stop here was at the ultra-popular Evolution Festival, and vocalist Jason Singer said how happy they were to be back, enjoying a headlining pitstop to dive into a full setlist. Michigander’s vibe is bright with a bit of indie, a bit of pop, and a dose of very catchy tunes that you cannot help but dance to. Singer is charismatic with infectious energy and definitely loves connecting with the crowd. Despite having a recent injury from a fall at a video shoot, he’s recovered amazingly well and is as commanding as ever!

There’s nothing better than when an audience starts out high energy and maintains it as they’re feeding off the band’s performance. That was certainly the case with the crowd at Delmar Hall – they showed and they danced their asses off to Michigander! Joining Singer are his bandmates bassist Connor Robertson, drummer Aaron Senor, and guitarist Jake LeMond. | Laura Jerele
