The annual tour stop of the Allman Betts Family Revival at The Factory in Chesterfield was a fun and meaningful journey through the musical legacy of the Allman Brothers. Starting their tour here in St. Louis brought the spirit of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts echoing through the place as a stellar lineup of musicians, including Anders Osborne, Luther Dickinson, Cody Dickenson, St. Louis’ own Devon Allman, and Duane Betts, with a special guest appearance by local blues guitar star Mike Zito.
The tour evolved from a one-night tribute gig, turning into a showcase of two sets dedicated to the distinct sounds of Gregg and Dickey. The Allman Betts Family Revival, featuring the remarkable Tal Wilkenfeld on bass, delivered a musical journey that spanned nearly three captivating hours. The return of The Brotherhood of Light added a visual dimension reminiscent of the Allman Brothers’ peak concert era.
