- Run The Jewels @ Loufest, Sep 10th
Run the Jewels were the highlight of Loufest, playing a sharp, relentless set in front of an amped-up crowd. Killer Mike and EL-P were backed up by Washington University grad DJ Trackstar, sporting a Cardinals hat, for a nice local tie-in.
- Lizzo @ Loufest, Sep 10th
Rising hip-hop star Lizzo went all-out for this show, and connected with the audience in a rare way. She’s a true performer and a can’t-miss live act.
- Chris Stapleton @ Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre
Chris Stapleton commanded the stage with his powerhouse singing and signature combination of old-school country twang with big guitar hooks. His music is a perfect mix of country styles, creating an arena-ready sound that doesn’t lose the down-to-earth Nashville authenticity.
- Japandroids @ The Firebird
Japandroids put on a hard-rocking show in the packed confines of the Ready Room. Thanks to catchy, shout-along anthems from their last 2 albums (Celebration Rock and Near to the Wild Heart of Life), Japandroids are a really fun band to see live.
- Lecrae @ Loufest, Sep 10th
After getting his start in Christian music, this show felt like a statement of Lecrae’s arrival as a swaggy hip-hop superstar. This was also the perfect late afternoon set to bring up the energy level at Loufest.
