Author: David Von Nordheim

David Von Nordheim is a freelance music journalist who focuses on the St. Louis hardcore and metal scenes. Some of his favorite local bands include Summoning the Lich, Polterguts, and Stormruler. He has an appreciation for metal and punk culture, and generally enjoys any music that is technically complex and played with skill and passion. He has a master's in cognitive psychology and works as a public health researcher at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to being an avid concertgoer, Dave likes to practice guitar, read novels, go on hikes, and play video games. One of his favorite things about covering the St. Louis metal scene is realizing how many bands are full of Dark Souls nerds (cough, Stormruler, cough!). Find him on Instagram @noisecontrolstl.
