Professor of English, singer-songwriter, novelist, and vegan blogger, Christian Knobloch is the mind behind the project/band Banks and Cathedrals. He began work on this project in the winter of 2010 and has performed in Saint Louis City both solo and with his band, which was active from 2014 to 2016. “Don’t Let the Darkness Take You” comes from Fire to Darkness EP, an acoustic set of songs recorded at Sawhorse Studios in just three hours. Written about someone with Bipolar II Disorder, it urges this person to hold on when in the grips of depression. Fire to Darkness (Acoustic) is available on all streaming services. Banks and Cathedrals will return as a full-band on Friday, December 10th, at The Heavy Anchor.
