About this week’s artist:

The blues and soul stylings of Desi Darling (aka Sean Kimble) are a bittersweet tonic for whatever ails the heart. His voice sweetly sings the timeless aches that plague any lonely person that has looked for respite in the wee small hours of the morning. They say a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. They also say that all you need to make good music is a guitar and the truth. Whoever it was that first said these sayings must have been thinking of Desi Darling. A fixture for 10+ years in the St. Louis rock scene as bass player for Brother Lee & the Leather Jackals, as well as a troubadour for hire who’s worked with the St. Louis Blues Museum, local studios, and local artists, he has earned the respect of his musical peers near and far. With influences like Little Walter, Buddy Guy, and King Floyd, the music of Desi Darling has been a welcomed bluesy sound amongst the old souls and the yesteryear architecture of South City St. Louis.
