Comedian Stavros Halkias has had quite the come up. Cutting his teeth in his hometown of Baltimore and later NYC, he first rose to notoriety as one of three mics on the vulgar and hilarious podcast Cum Town from 2016 to 2022. With fellow comedians Nick Mullen and Adam Friedland, Stav stood out as the enthusiastic food- and sex-loving hedonist of the group, with his friendly nature and previously mentioned proclivities often examined to a humorous end. Since striking it out on his own, his self-published stand-up hour Live At The Lodge Room has almost hit 6 million views on YouTube, his podcast Stavvy’s World has been racking up a list of impressive guests and countless clips worthy of your social media consumption, and he has his first Netflix special debuting December 5th. Not bad for a guy who once lost a front tooth while eating a piece of Korean BBQ.
How lucky we are then that Stavros is bringing his Fat Rascal Tour to The Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri on November 18th. If you did not see him last year at The Duck Room, this is a prime opportunity to see one of the hottest comedians of the 2023. The 34-year-old son of two Greek immigrants, Stav pulls much of his humor from the unique particularities of his childhood in a Greek Orthodox community, his struggles with his indulgences, and the absurdities of modern life. In addition to all that, his crowd work is exceptional. Stav has an uncanny ability to ask crowd members simple questions and pull out sharp observations that often make light of someone’s romantic life, personal views, or occupation in an insanely hilarious fashion without ever really insulting or calling out the individual.
