Few artists can deliver amazing harmonies to the level that Fleet Foxes do live. In their recent turn at The Factory in Chesterfield, Fleet Foxes did just that (and more) in a robust 20+ song set. The set began gently and ended with the audience swaying, singing, and absolutely roaring for more. Their stellar, rich vocal harmonies somehow made the venue seem smaller, more intimate, that is until the end of each song when the audience erupted with massive appreciation. At times, the venue was pin-drop quiet to leave room for only the harmonies to fill the space. Fleet Foxes’ craft was in full appreciation by the near sell-out crowd.

Singer-songwriter Uwade opened the show with an emotive and gentle set. Beautiful vocals and warm storytelling captured the audience quickly who respectfully gave quiet attentiveness in return. She joined Fleet Foxes for several songs in their set (including the opening numbers), but her warmth and appreciation was worth paying full attention to the moment she took the stage. | Laura Jerele
