Stir were one of the biggest bands to break out of St. Louis in the late ’90s, scoring a major label deal with Capitol Records and scoring a stream of local radio hits like “Looking For,” “One Angel” (both from their eponymous 1996 album), and “New Beginning” (from 2000’s Holy Dogs). After the group’s dissolution in 2005, the band’s members continued to keep the rock n’ roll dream alive as sidemen and in cover bands, most notably the hugely popular Pink Floyd tribute band El Monstero y Los Masked Avengers. Local alt-rock station 105.7 The Point (KPNT) was able to coax the band out of retirement for their Wayback Pointfest festival in 2016 and the band must have had fun doing it as they returned for the 2019 edition. If you missed their set, be sure to catch the band November 16th at the Delmar Hall.
