Let it be known that rock n’ roll is indeed alive and well. If you were lucky enough to catch The Struts at their most recent stop at The Pageant, you witnessed this first-hand the moment the band hit the stage with their massively energetic presence. Swaggering moves and cocky attitudes were on full display, only topped by their impeccable musicianship and undeniably catchy songs. Hugely entertaining and reminiscent of bands that influenced them, but a band uniquely themselves, The Struts deserved every ounce of screams and applause that filled the venue as they gave one hell of a performance.
A band not be outdone, Mac Saturn hit the stage to open the show as if they were a headlining act in an arena of an era gone by. They brought the house down with an electrifying performance that showcased their tightly fused influences from not only several decades, but from the city in which they hail—Detroit rock city. | Laura Jerele
