Powerman 5000 grooved onto the metal scene in 1997 with their funky lead single “Organizized,” but it was their 1999 sophomore LP Tonight the Stars Revolt! with its sinister sci-fi overtones and huge hit singles (“Nobody’s Real,” “Supernova Goes Pop,” and “When Worlds Collide”) that blasted them to the forefront of the nu-metal scene. Singer/ringleader Spider One isn’t one to rest on his laurels, though, blending in elements of punk, industrial, and electronica into the band’s now 11-album-deep discography. Powerman 5000 will perform with support from 12 Stones and Makes My Blood Dance. For more information, visit oldrockhousestl.com. | Jason Green
