If it’s December, that means it must be time for 105.7 The Point to host their annual series of Christmastime Ho Ho Shows. Not satisfied with a mere six shows like they had last year, StL’s longtime local alternative station announced today it is bringing nine shows to town in a mere 15 days across three separate venues: the Pageant, Delmar Hall, and the Peabody Opera House.
This year’s lineup is a mix of Point mainstays from the worlds of nu-metal (Evanescence, Alter Bridge, Seether) and punk (Rise Against) with a few modern acts that have slipped onto the station’s playlist, like Cold War Kids and X Ambassadors. Probably the biggest surprises are Dashboard Confessional (returning to Delmar Hall a mere five months after headlining the Pageant with All-American Rejects) and the dual bill of Portugal. The Man and Vance Joy scoring a venue as massive as the Peabody.
